Description

These Strawberry White Chocolate Gooey Bars are a heavenly treat that combines the sweetness of strawberries with the creamy richness of white chocolate. With a soft, chewy texture and gooey center, they’re perfect for dessert or an indulgent snack. Best of all, they’re super easy to make and always a hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) strawberry cake mix
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup (170g) white chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Optional Toppings:

  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Base

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.

Step 2: Assemble the Layers

  1. Press â…” of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula or your hands.
  2. Sprinkle the white chocolate chips evenly over the base layer.

Step 3: Add the Gooey Filling

  1. In a separate bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Pour this mixture over the white chocolate chips, spreading it evenly.

Step 4: Add the Topping

  1. Crumble the remaining dough over the top of the condensed milk layer. It doesn’t need to cover completely—gaps are fine.

Step 5: Bake

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The center will still look slightly gooey, but it will set as it cools.

Step 6: Cool and Serve

  1. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares or bars. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Use Room Temperature Ingredients: This ensures smooth mixing and even baking.
  • Don’t Overbake: The bars should be set on the edges but still soft in the center for the perfect gooey texture.
  • Customize the Flavors: Add chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or freeze-dried strawberries for extra texture and flavor.
