Ingredients

For the Steak:

  • Ribeye or Filet Mignon (2 steaks, 8 oz each) – Tender and juicy cuts work best.
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste) – Enhances the natural flavor of the steak.
  • Garlic Powder (½ tsp) – Adds depth.
  • Olive Oil (1 tbsp) – For searing.
  • Butter (2 tbsp) – Adds richness.
  • Fresh Thyme or Rosemary (2 sprigs) – Infuses the steak with flavor.

For the Shrimp & Lobster Sauce:

  • Shrimp (½ lb, peeled & deveined) – Use large shrimp for a meatier bite.
  • Lobster Meat (½ cup, cooked & chopped) – Can use fresh, frozen, or canned.
  • Butter (3 tbsp) – The base of the rich sauce.
  • Garlic (3 cloves, minced) – Brings out the seafood flavors.
  • Heavy Cream (¾ cup) – Creates a velvety texture.
  • Chicken or Seafood Broth (¼ cup) – Adds depth to the sauce.
  • Parmesan Cheese (¼ cup, grated) – A hint of nutty flavor.
  • Paprika (½ tsp) – Adds subtle smokiness.
  • Lemon Juice (1 tbsp) – Balances the richness with acidity.
  • Fresh Parsley (for garnish) – A pop of color and freshness.

Instructions

1. Season & Sear the Steaks

  • Pat the steaks dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the steaks and sear for 3-4 minutes per side (for medium-rare).
  • Reduce heat to medium, add butter, thyme, or rosemary, and baste the steak for 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove steaks from the skillet, tent with foil, and let rest while you make the sauce.

2. Cook the Shrimp

  • In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp butter and cook the shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

3. Make the Lobster Sauce

  • In a small saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the broth and heavy cream, whisking to combine.
  • Stir in the parmesan, paprika, and lemon juice. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Add the lobster meat and cooked shrimp, stirring to coat. Let it warm through for 1 minute.

4. Plate & Serve

  • Place the steak on a plate and spoon the shrimp & lobster sauce generously over the top.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately!

Notes

  • Refrigerate: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat: Warm the steak gently in a pan and reheat the sauce separately over low heat.
  • Freeze: Not recommended, as the creamy sauce may separate.
