For the Steak:

  • 4 steaks (ribeye, filet mignon, or sirloin)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for added flavor)

For the Shrimp & Lobster Sauce:

  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup lobster meat, cooked and chopped (use fresh, frozen, or canned)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup chicken or seafood broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Steaks

  1. Remove the steaks from the fridge and let them sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil and season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

Step 2: Cook the Steaks

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Add the steaks and cook to your desired doneness:
    • Rare: 2-3 minutes per side
    • Medium Rare: 3-4 minutes per side
    • Medium: 4-5 minutes per side
  2. Transfer the steaks to a plate and tent with foil to rest while you make the sauce.

Step 3: Make the Shrimp & Lobster Sauce

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the chopped lobster meat.
  3. Pour in the chicken or seafood broth and bring to a simmer. Lower the heat and whisk in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and smoked paprika. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4: Serve

  1. Plate each steak and generously spoon the shrimp and lobster sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!

  • Choose Quality Steak: Ribeye or filet mignon works best for their tenderness and flavor.
  • Perfect Steak Temperature: Use a meat thermometer for precision—135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
