Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread (white or brioche works best)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 slices of milk or dark chocolate (or ½ cup chocolate chips)
  • ½ cup mini marshmallows or marshmallow fluff
  • 4 graham crackers, crushed into small pieces
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Bread

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place the bread butter-side down on a plate or cutting board.

Step 2: Assemble the Sandwich

  1. On the unbuttered side of two bread slices, layer the chocolate slices or chocolate chips evenly.
  2. Add a layer of mini marshmallows or spread marshmallow fluff over the chocolate.
  3. Sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top for that signature crunch.
  4. Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side facing up.

Step 3: Cook the Sandwich

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, pressing gently with a spatula.
  3. Flip carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the bread is golden brown and the filling is melted and gooey.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool slightly before slicing in half.
  2. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar for an extra sweet touch, if desired.

Notes

  • Use Brioche or Challah Bread: These breads add a rich, sweet flavor that complements the s’mores filling.
  • Don’t Overfill: Too much filling can make it messy to flip; a balanced layer works best.
  • Cook on Low Heat: This allows the chocolate and marshmallows to melt fully without burning the bread.
