  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

Step 1: Brown the Beef

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Transfer the cooked beef to the slow cooker.

Step 2: Prepare the Vegetables
4. Add chopped cabbage, carrots, celery, and diced onion to the slow cooker.
5. Stir in the minced garlic.

Step 3: Build the Broth
6. Pour in the beef broth and diced tomatoes.
7. Add the tomato paste, smoked paprika, cumin, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

Step 4: Cook the Soup
8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
