- 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and smooth.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
Step 3: Combine the Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Step 4: Add the Mix-Ins
- Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal and chocolate chips using a spatula. Be careful not to crush the cereal.
Step 5: Scoop and Bake
- Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers will look slightly underdone but will set as they cool.
