Scale
For the Rolls:
- 1 pack (12 rolls) King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
- 6 large eggs, scrambled or sunny side up
- 8 slices of cooked turkey bacon, turkey sausage, or turkey ham
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Topping:
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Rolls
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully slice the entire pack of rolls horizontally to create a top and bottom layer. Place the bottom layer in a greased baking dish.
Step 2: Add the Fillings
- Spread the scrambled or sunny-side-up eggs evenly over the bottom layer of rolls.
- Layer the cooked turkey bacon (or your choice of protein) over the eggs.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly across the top of the bacon.
- Place the top layer of rolls back over the fillings.
Step 3: Add the Topping
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
- Sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top, if desired.
Step 4: Bake the Rolls
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.
Step 5: Serve
- Let the rolls cool slightly, then slice into individual portions. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh eggs and high-quality cheese make a big difference in flavor.
- Don’t Overfill: Keep the fillings balanced to prevent the rolls from becoming soggy.
- Cover with Foil First: This ensures the rolls stay soft while the fillings heat through.
- Customize the Recipe: Add sautéed spinach, mushrooms, or diced bell peppers for extra flavor.
