- Soy Sauce (1 tbsp) – Adds depth to the beef seasoning.
- Olive Oil (2 tbsp) – For stir-frying.
- Carrot (1 large, julienned) – Adds sweetness and crunch.
- Bell Pepper (1, sliced) – For a burst of color and flavor.
- Broccoli Florets (1 cup) – Nutritious and hearty.
- Onion (½, sliced) – Slightly caramelized for added flavor.
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced) – Essential for that signature stir-fry aroma.
For the Sauce:
- Soy Sauce (¼ cup)
- Honey (2 tbsp) – Natural sweetness to balance the saltiness.
- Sesame Oil (1 tsp) – A nutty aroma and flavor boost.
- Ginger (1 tsp, grated) – Adds warmth and spice.
- Cornstarch Slurry (1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water) – Thickens the sauce.
- Red Pepper Flakes (¼ tsp, optional) – For a touch of heat.
Instructions
Step 1: Marinate the Beef
In a bowl, toss the beef slices with 1 tbsp soy sauce and cornstarch. Let sit for 10 minutes while you prep the veggies.
Step 2: Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, grated ginger, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.
Step 3: Sear the Beef
Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef in batches and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Step 4: Stir-Fry the Veggies
In the same pan, add the remaining olive oil. Toss in garlic, onion, carrot, bell pepper, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the veggies are crisp-tender.
Step 5: Combine and Toss
Return the beef to the skillet. Pour in the prepared sauce and toss everything to combine. Cook for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and veggies.
Step 6: Serve and Enjoy!
Serve over steamed rice or noodles, and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions for an extra touch of flavor.
