  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a gluten-free option)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

For the Mac and Cheese:

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni (or your favorite pasta)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Chicken

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Place the chicken in the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, black pepper, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, pour the honey pepper mixture over the chicken and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the glaze thickens and coats the chicken.
  6. Remove the chicken from the skillet, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice it into strips or bite-sized pieces.

Step 2: Prepare the Mac and Cheese

  1. While the chicken is cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a separate pot, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  4. Gradually pour in the milk, whisking continuously to prevent lumps.
  5. Once the sauce thickens (about 4-5 minutes), stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses.

Step 3: Combine Chicken and Mac and Cheese

  1. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to coat.
