½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp salt
-

½ cup diced red bell pepper
-
½ cup baby spinach, chopped (optional)
-
6 large eggs
-
½ cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
-
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
-
½ tsp salt
-
¼ tsp black pepper
-
¼ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Hash Brown Crust
-
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
In a large bowl, mix thawed hash browns with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
-
Press the hash brown mixture into a greased 9-inch pie dish, covering the bottom and sides to form a crust.
-
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and starting to crisp.
-
Remove from oven and let cool slightly while you prepare the filling.
Step 2: Cook the Turkey Sausage and Veggies
-
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
-
Add diced turkey sausage and cook for 3–4 minutes, until browned.
-
Stir in chopped onion and red bell pepper. Cook for another 3–4 minutes until veggies are softened.
-
Add chopped spinach (if using) and cook for 1 minute until wilted.
-
Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
Step 3: Mix the Egg Filling
-
In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
-
Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and the cooked sausage and veggie mixture.
Step 4: Assemble the Quiche
-
Pour the egg mixture into the baked hash brown crust.
-
Spread evenly with a spoon or spatula to ensure even distribution of ingredients.
Step 5: Bake the Quiche
-
Reduce oven temperature to 375°F (190°C).
-
Bake the quiche for 30–35 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden.
-
Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Squeeze Hash Browns Dry – Too much moisture will prevent the crust from crisping.
Use Pre-Cooked Sausage – It saves time and ensures flavor in every bite.
Let It Rest – Cooling for 10 minutes before slicing helps the quiche firm up.
Shred Your Own Cheese – For the best melt and texture, avoid pre-shredded cheese.
Add Veggies – Mushrooms, broccoli, or zucchini work great in this quiche.
