Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Hash Brown Crust

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly coated.
  3. Press the hash brown mixture into the pie dish, forming an even layer along the bottom and up the sides.
  4. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Remove from the oven and reduce the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper.
  2. Layer the cooked turkey sausage and shredded cheddar cheese over the baked hash brown crust.
  3. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and cheese.

Step 3: Bake the Quiche

  1. Bake in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
