Scale
For the Steak Bites:
- 1 lb sirloin steak or beef tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Steak Bites
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
- Season the steak bites with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Sear the steak bites in batches, cooking for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add butter.
- Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Toss the cooked steak bites back into the skillet and coat them with the garlic butter. Remove from heat and keep warm.
Step 3: Prepare the Parmesan Cream Sauce
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute, forming a roux.
- Slowly pour in the milk, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened, then stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4: Serve and Garnish
- Plate the garlic butter steak bites and drizzle with the Parmesan cream sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or chives and serve warm.
