Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak or beef tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Steak Bites

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  2. Season the steak bites with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Sear the steak bites in batches, cooking for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove and set aside.

Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter

  1. In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add butter.
  2. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Toss the cooked steak bites back into the skillet and coat them with the garlic butter. Remove from heat and keep warm.

Step 3: Prepare the Parmesan Cream Sauce

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute, forming a roux.
  3. Slowly pour in the milk, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened, then stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4: Serve and Garnish

  1. Plate the garlic butter steak bites and drizzle with the Parmesan cream sauce.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives and serve warm.

Notes

  • Choose Quality Meat: Opt for tender cuts like sirloin or beef tenderloin for the best results.
  • Don’t Overcrowd the Pan: Sear the steak bites in batches to ensure a perfect crust.
  • Make it Spicy: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter for a hint of heat.
