Ingredients
For the Whipped Coffee Topping:
2 tbsp instant coffee (not ground coffee)
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tbsp hot water
For the Base Drink:
1 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, soy, etc.)
Ice cubes (for iced version)
Cinnamon or cocoa powder (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Whip the Coffee Mixture
In a medium bowl, combine instant coffee, sugar, and hot water.
Using a hand whisk, electric mixer, or milk frother, whip the mixture for 3–5 minutes until it becomes thick, frothy, and light in color.
The mixture should hold stiff peaks and resemble whipped cream.
Step 2: Prepare the Milk Base
For iced coffee: Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour in the milk.
For hot coffee: Warm the milk on the stovetop or in the microwave and pour into a mug.
Step 3: Assemble the Dalgona Coffee
Spoon the whipped coffee over the top of the milk.
Gently swirl with a spoon or leave it layered for a visual wow factor.
Step 4: Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon, cocoa powder, or chocolate shavings if desired.
Serve immediately and stir before sipping to enjoy the full flavor.
Notes
Use Instant Coffee – Only instant coffee works to achieve the signature foam.
Whip Well – The longer you whip, the fluffier it gets. Use chilled utensils for extra volume.
Adjust the Sweetness – Use less sugar if you prefer a stronger, less sweet drink.
Use a Frother – A handheld milk frother is a quick and mess-free option.
