Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast (1 lb, cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • Cornstarch (½ cup) – Helps create a light, crispy texture.
  • Egg (1 large, beaten) – Binds the coating to the chicken.
  • Panko Breadcrumbs (1 cup) – Adds crunch.
  • Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)
  • Paprika (1 tsp) – For flavor and slight heat.
  • Garlic Powder (1 tsp) – Adds depth.
  • Oil (for frying, about 2 cups)

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • Mayonnaise (½ cup) – Creamy and rich.
  • Sweet Chili Sauce (¼ cup) – Adds the perfect balance of sweet heat.
  • Sriracha (1 tbsp) – For a little extra spice.
  • Honey (1 tbsp) – Balances the heat with sweetness.
  • Lemon Juice (1 tsp) – Adds a fresh, zesty kick.

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Chicken
In a bowl, season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

Step 2: Coat the Chicken

  • Place cornstarch in one shallow bowl.
  • Beat the egg in another bowl.
  • Pour panko breadcrumbs into a third bowl.
  • Dip each piece of chicken into the cornstarch, then the beaten egg, and finally coat it with panko.

Step 3: Fry Until Crispy
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken in batches for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 4: Make the Bang Bang Sauce
In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice until smooth.

Step 5: Toss & Serve
Toss the crispy chicken in the bang bang sauce or drizzle it over the top before serving. Enjoy immediately!
