Instructions
- Cook the Linguine
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water. - Cook the Chicken
Season the chicken strips with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside. - Make the Cowboy Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes. - Add Cream and Flavorings
Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, chili flakes, and smoked paprika. Let the sauce thicken for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. - Combine Chicken, Linguine, and Sauce
Add the cooked chicken and linguine to the sauce. Toss to combine, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to reach your desired consistency. - Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving. Dig in and enjoy the creamy, buttery goodness!
Notes
- Don’t Overcook the Chicken: Searing it quickly ensures juicy and tender bites.
- Let the Sauce Thicken: Simmering the sauce for a few minutes ensures it coats the pasta perfectly.
- Use Fresh Lemon Juice: It brightens the dish and enhances the flavors.
