Description

If you’re craving the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and melty goodness, this Cranberry Turkey Grilled Cheese is a must-try! The combination of tender turkey, tart cranberry sauce, and gooey cheese between buttery, crispy bread makes this sandwich an irresistible comfort food. Whether it’s a post-holiday treat or just a weekday indulgence, this grilled cheese will hit the spot!

Ingredients

  • Sliced Bread (2 slices per sandwich): Sourdough or whole wheat works great.

  • Cooked Turkey (4 oz): Sliced or shredded.

  • Cranberry Sauce (2 tbsp): Homemade or store-bought.

  • Cheese (2 slices): Swiss, cheddar, or mozzarella.

  • Butter (1 tbsp): For a golden, crispy crust.

  • Dijon Mustard (1 tsp, optional): Adds a subtle tang.

Instructions

1. Assemble the Sandwich

  • Spread cranberry sauce on one slice of bread and Dijon mustard (if using) on the other.

  • Layer cheese, turkey, and another slice of cheese between the bread slices.

2. Butter the Bread

  • Spread a thin layer of butter on the outside of each slice of bread.

3. Grill the Sandwich

  • Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.

  • Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

4. Serve & Enjoy

  • Slice in half and serve warm. Enjoy with a side salad or a warm bowl of soup!

Notes

Low & Slow: Cook on medium-low heat to ensure melty cheese and crispy bread.
Use a Lid: Cover the pan while cooking to help the cheese melt faster.
Try Different Breads: Sourdough, whole grain, or even brioche add extra flavor.
