Ingredients

For the Crack Chicken Filling:
• 3 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
• 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• ¼ cup mayonnaise
• 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
• ¼ tsp garlic powder
• ¼ tsp onion powder
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 2 green onions, thinly sliced

For the Sandwiches:
• 6 sandwich buns or brioche rolls
• 1 tbsp butter (optional, for toasting buns)
• Extra cheddar cheese for topping (optional)

Optional Toppings:
• Lettuce leaves
• Tomato slices
• Pickles
• Jalapeño slices (for some heat)


Instructions

Step 1: Cook and Chop the Turkey Bacon
Cook turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
Let it cool slightly, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
Set aside for later—this adds salty, smoky crunch to the filling.

Step 2: Mix the Crack Chicken Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, mayo, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Mix well until everything is evenly combined and creamy.
Stir in the chopped turkey bacon, shredded cheddar, and green onions.

Step 3: Toast the Buns (Optional but Recommended)
In a skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat.
Place buns cut side down and toast for 1–2 minutes until golden.
This keeps the buns sturdy and adds flavor.

Step 4: Assemble the Sandwiches
Scoop generous amounts of the crack chicken mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.
Top with extra shredded cheddar if you like it extra cheesy.
Place the top bun on each sandwich.

Step 5: Bake (Optional for Melty Goodness)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Wrap sandwiches in foil and bake for 10–12 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
You can also bake open-faced for a melty, bubbly cheese topping.

 

Step 6: Add Toppings & Serve
Remove from oven and top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, or jalapeños if desired.
