- 1/2 lb smoked beef sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 6 slices cheddar or American cheese, halved
- 1/4 cup diced green onions (optional)
For the Topping:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Eggs
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
- Pour in the egg mixture and cook, stirring gently, until soft and scrambled. Set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Sausage
- In the same skillet, sliceand cook the sausage until warmed through. Set aside.
Step 3: Assemble the Sliders
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish.
- Layer with scrambled eggs, sausage, and a slice of cheese. Sprinkle with green onions if desired.
- Top with the other half of the buns.
Step 4: Add the Topping
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, maple syrup, and garlic powder. Brush the tops of the sliders generously with the mixture.
Step 5: Bake
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
