- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup granulated sugar

- 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tablespoon lemon juice)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat and Prepare
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or nonstick spray.
Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Step 3: Mix the Wet Ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix!
Step 5: Bake the Bread
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Step 6: Coat with Cinnamon Sugar
- Brush the top and sides of the warm bread with melted butter.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle (or roll) the bread in the mixture until fully coated.
Step 7: Slice and Enjoy!
- Let the bread cool completely before slicing. Serve and enjoy!
