- 2 garlic cloves: Minced for added flavor.
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce: For seasoning the chicken.
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce: Store-bought or homemade (see note below).
- 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar: Optional, for extra sweetness.
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil: Adds depth to the dish.
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds: For garnish.
- 2 green onions: Chopped, for garnish.
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Noodles
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the noodles and cook according to the package instructions.
- Drain and set aside, tossing with a little sesame oil to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Prepare the Chicken
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season with soy sauce and transfer to a plate.
Step 3: Cook the Vegetables
- In the same skillet, heat the remaining oil.
- Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Toss in the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Add the cooked chicken and noodles to the skillet with the vegetables.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over the top and add honey or brown sugar if using.
- Toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through, about 2 minutes.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top.
