Ingredients
-
2 lobster tails (or 1½ cups cooked lobster meat)
-
8 oz pasta (linguine, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
-
3 tbsp butter
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
4 cloves garlic (minced)
-
½ cup chicken or seafood broth
-
½ cup heavy cream (optional, for a richer sauce)
-
½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a slight kick)
-
2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Lobster
-
If using lobster tails, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tails and cook for 4–5 minutes, until the shells turn bright red.
-
Remove from water, let cool slightly, then cut open the shells and remove the meat. Chop into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2: Cook the Pasta
-
Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
Step 3: Sauté the Garlic & Lobster
-
In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter with 2 tbsp olive oil over medium heat.
-
Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
-
Stir in the chopped lobster and cook for 1–2 minutes, just until warmed through.
Step 4: Make the Sauce
-
Pour in chicken or seafood broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
-
If using, add heavy cream and stir until combined.
-
Stir in Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Step 5: Toss Everything Together
-
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat.
-
If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
-
Stir in the remaining 1 tbsp butter for an extra glossy finish.
Step 6: Serve & Enjoy!
Plate the pasta and top with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve immediately and enjoy the rich, buttery goodness!
Notes
Don’t Overcook Lobster: It becomes rubbery if overcooked—just a few minutes is enough!
Use Fresh Parmesan: Pre-grated cheese won’t melt as smoothly.
Add More Butter if Needed: For an extra luxurious sauce.
No Lobster? Swap with shrimp or crab meat.
