1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1 cup brown sugar (packed)

½ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 ½ cups pecans (chopped & toasted)
Instructions
Step 1: Toast the Pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Spread chopped pecans on a baking sheet and toast for 5–7 minutes until fragrant. Let them cool.
Step 2: Make the Cookie Dough

In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the toasted pecans.
Step 3: Shape and Bake

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Scoop about 1½ tablespoons of dough and roll into balls. Place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.

Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.

Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
